The discerning heart can understand and live according to spiritual truth, therefore living in harmony with God and walking in the kingdom of heaven; filled with the life of Christ, and from that Christ-filled repository spills forth His Words. Words that are uplifting, instructive, encouraging, and life giving-to us and those we meet.

Suggestions To Help With Meditative Prayer

1) Set The Goal – 1 Thessalonians 5:17

2) Set apart time for formal meditation

3) See your day as a whole entity

4) Pre-designate a place for prayer

5) Be conscious of your physical posture

6) Focus on a particular scripture

Remember: This is not study time.

Let the written Word become a personal message to you.   Internalize it, don’t analyze it.

Example: Peace — John 14:27, Isaiah 26:3 –

Rather than dissecting the concept of peace with rationality — ENTER into it!

2 Timothy 1:7 – Fear is overcome by “power, love and a sound mind” and bears self-control and discernment as fruit!

Colossians 1:27

Meditation – Not a single act, but a progressive journey of communication with God
