  • Patience – calm endurance, an uncomplaining nature, tireless stamina, the ability to resist, withstand

  • Philippians 2:13- for it is God Himself whose power creates within you the desire to do His gracious will and also brings about the accomplishment of the desire.

In our hearts, in His Name, according to His Word, in reverence, in agreement with the Promise, is when and where this patience is worked into our being and the reality of the character of God is etched on our minds. IMPRINTED.

Easter-tide

  1. Lent  – self sacrifice
  2. Palm – Passion
  3. Holy Easter – Resurrection
  4. Ascension Day – Assurance of Jesus’ continued intercession for humankind
  5. Pentecost – Outpouring of Holy Spirit power

 

Acts 1:1-11

 “Within transformation there is transition.”  -PR

 

Ascension Day – a reminder to us of Jesus’ complete and total victory over evil.

The final and fatal blow to satan’s power over the Earth — a memorial of the Lion’s conquest of the Dragon !

Acts 1:4 – “Wait” for the Promise of the Father

Acts 1:8 – “Shall be witnesses-

Something they will BECOME not something they will DO:

A witness OF Him not FOR Him.

Remembering God’s Promises

“Remembering God’s Promises”

Remember:

1) Who God Is  – El Shaddai “The all sufficient One”

2) What He has already done for you.  – Your testimony

3) His promises to you; both in His written Word and His rhema Word spoken directly to your inner man.

Remember it – Record it – Review it – Proclaim it !!!

Meditation – to reflect upon, to ponder, to plan or intend in the mind.   Focused thinking

Philippians 4:19  – His riches encompass all of creation, so there is nothing needed that He can’t supply!

Isaiah 26:3  – “Perfect Peace” 

1) Divine health

2) Prosperity

3) Wellness of being; spirit, soul & body

4) Sound decision making

5) Balance in turmoil.

Occult Meditation – empty minds

Christian Meditation  –  minds filled with God’s promises

The Mind of Christ  – 1 Corinthians 2:16  –  Shares the Divine Consciousness

1) Sees the Truth of all things

2) Evaluates them by Truth

3) Formulates responses by Truth

Lectio Divina  – “Divine Reading” – To receive revelation divinely

Entering a Contemplative Space

1) Come to stillness

2) Acknowledge God’s Presence

3) Review the day with gratitude

4) Pay attention to your emotions and give them to God

5) Tune to spontaneity – notice what comes up

6) Listen and record what God says to you without first trying to reason it out.
