  • Revelation 3:8 “I’ve set before you an open door.”
  • Doors – are passageways from one place to another.
  • Represent – Change or Transition
  • We are often the product of the Doors we walk through: they shape who we are
  • Tests – are there to help us correct any missteps we might have taken in the past.
  • Revelation 2:8-10 – “Teated” – Pie-Rad-Zoe – Which way one is going and what the character of that person is
  • Revelation 3:7 – The “Key of David” – a symbol of authority
  • Josh 1:2-9
    • VS 2 – “Now, therefore, arise and go over this Jordan…”
    • “This Jordan” – a symbol of the obstacles and resistance we face along the journey
    • VS 3 – TREAD – (Hebrew: Darach) stomp, march – aggressive walk
  • Root – “To draw an arrow and bend a bow”  Modern Israel.
    • “Load your weapons!”
  • God: “In every place that you’re willing to load your weapons and take the land – I give you.”

An Unoffendable Heart

  • Anger and aggression are not acceptable Christian behavior – the wrong TONE.
  • 1 Chronicles 12:32 – The Sons of Issachar – had an understanding of the times to know what Israel should do.
  • Matthew 24:8 – ”The beginnings of sorrows” – Labor Pains before a birth
  • Matthew 24:11 – OFFENCE: “Many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.”
  • Offended – Anger, Resentment, Displeasure – an affront, attack, or assault, transgression – exceeding the boundaries or set limits.
  • John 17:6-22 – Oneness
  • Ephesians 3:20 (Wuerst) “…in the measure of power which is operating in us.”
  • Matthew 24:12-13 (TPT) “Keep your hope with active, energetic resistance to the end.”
  • Ezekiel 36:26 – A New Heart and a New Spirit – An Unoffendable Heart
  • 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) “Be sober(clear-minded), be VIGILANT because your adversary, the devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.”
  • “Like a lion – “Just as lions prey on the weak and feeble, the young, and the stragglers – so our enemy seeks out those who are isolated, alone, depressed, or discouraged.”
  • Allowing an offense to remain unhealed will keep us separated, isolated, and thus VULNERABLE to his influence: Betrayal -> hatred -> Cold Love (which is NO love).
  • No one plans to “fall away” from the faith.
  • People stumble over stones (small things) usually not boulders.
  • Ask God to create a clean heart in you – a New Heart: an Unoffendable Heart.
