“Crossing Through” – Servant to Friend of God

Servants – are task-oriented
Friends – proactive co-contributors

Whatever we commune with will have a direct effect on what we desire” – PR
Communion with God will cause our desires to align with His.” – PR

Psalm 37:4-5 – Delight yourself in Him – commit to Him – Trust in Him

Delight – to become soft and tender toward Him

Commit – to roll your burdens onto Him

Heart – (Hebrew – leb) –intellect, awareness, inner feelings and deepest thoughts

Isaiah 26:3 – kept in perfect peace.

1 Kings 8:16-18 – The desire of David’s heart influenced the construction of the Temple

Jesus saw God’s desire and allowed what moved the Father to set the course of His life.” – PR

As friends of God our dreams and desires are not independent of God but because of God. – PR

The Tree of Life

  1. Past – Genesis 2:19 – Kept from living in an eternally fallen state
  2. Future – Revelation 22:2 – A prophetic look at our future healing through Christ
  3. Present – Proverbs 13:12 – God has figuratively placed the tree within our present reach; it’s fruit releasing strength and eternal courage within through the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:22 –Passion)
